Description
Fully renovated historic carriage house on Capital Hill! This home is perfect for solo travelers or couples. You'll be immersed into the city due to this home's close proximity to the metro, dining, parks and more!
The cozy studio includes a full bed (for two) and full bath. It does not have a kitchen, but we provide coffee/tea service to help you start your day. The carriage house is light filled, but has blinds for privacy, or for when you need to turn in for the night. Quality sheets, bedding, & toiletries are provided.
The air conditioning/heater is virtually silent and can be programmed to your desired temperature.
***Please note that the patio and grill are not available for guests unless specifically agreed in advance with the host.***
Our home is contactless seamless and easy self check in. A code will be set for you and shared 48 hours before your arrival. At Sojourn we take your happiness and comfort seriously. Capitol Hill is a historic and vibrant neighborhood in Washington D.C., renowned for its political landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, and Supreme Court. It features a mix of charming Victorian and Federal-style rowhouses, bustling commercial areas like Eastern Market and Barracks Row, and ample green spaces like Lincoln Park. This close-knit community offers a residential feel with cultural events, diverse dining options, and excellent public transportation, all within a central location near downtown and the National Mall.
From the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the best way to get around Washington D.C. is by using the extensive public transportation system, primarily the Metro. The Capitol South and Eastern Market Metro stations on the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines provide quick access to downtown, major attractions, and other neighborhoods. Additionally, the Metrobus system and the DC Circulator offer convenient routes for shorter trips. For those who prefer an active commute, the area is pedestrian-friendly with well-maintained sidewalks and bike lanes, and bike-sharing services like Capital Bikeshare are readily available. Taxis and ride-sharing services are also plentiful for more direct travel needs.
Your new home is one block from the Potomac Ave. metro and a 15 minute walk to Eastern Market. A brand new Safeway supermarket is across the street with lots of to-go food options & Starbucks. Also nearby: The Roost, DCs newest food hall with pizza, tacos, a cafe, and a pub among others!We are 1 block from the Potomac Ave. metro to get anywhere in the city, & a 10 minute walk to Eastern Market.
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. We welcome dogs under 40 lbs. No Cats
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, please inquire about advanced parking pass reservations.
6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.
7) This home does not have a kitchen nor a kitchenette.
8) The hosts live on the property so you may occasionally see them or their two young boys.
9) Patio use is exclusively for the home owners. We ask guests to please refrain from using the patio.View More

I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Carriage House! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. Bartley, Risa & Bartley, Sojourn was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable.
The property itself was immaculate and exactly as described. Despite the size of the room it is very spacious and cozy bedroom as well bathroom .
The location was perfect. Safeway is within walking distance from the carriage house along with plenty of good places to eat.
Overall, my stay exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend it.Show more Annamariara
