Description
Enjoy a cup of Joe as the F-15's fly overhead from LAFB and the fishing boats pass by. Windmill Point is located on deepwater access and is 2.3 miles from Grandview Nature Preserve Beach. Grandview Nature Preserve is open to the public free and forms the northeast corner of the city of Hampton. The Preserve covers over 475 acres of salt marsh, tidal creeks, and Chesapeake Bay beachfront. The Preserve is a great location to beach comb, observe the migratory birds, and photography. It is also a great place for fishing. You will need to obtain a saltwater fishing license from Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

A charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home with sweeping views of Back River in Hampton. The home has 2 queen beds and a full over twin bunk beds sleeping 3 and 3 full bathrooms. The home was made for outdoor life, with tons of place to enjoy the water, a relaxing outdoor deck and swing. Take in the birds of nature and the birds of America, our Langley Air Force Base fighter jets (they are loud).
Please Read - Landscaping is schedule weekly in Newport News & Hampton. Weather patterns may affect this so we can not promise what da If you are booked for this property you acknowledge our landscaper will enter the front and backyard to cut the grass. Trash is scheduled to be picked up 3 days a week, you also acknowledge that our private trash provider will be on site bringing cans out and back in.

1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within thirty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period. ...
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) Fireworks are illegal in our area and use of them is cause to end your stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! Loved the home, it had everything we needed. The view was beautiful house clean very homey! The neighborhood was very quaint and quiet. We rode our bikes everywhere. So much to do. Visited with my son ( in the navy in Norfolk) totally recommend this place. We will be back!Show more We were in the area for the weekend to see our son and daughter-in-law off to their next duty station. It was a great location and very peaceful, beautiful view and we were visited by the local deer nightly. The host was so helpful and answered all our questions. The fireplace was a great way to unwind each night. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very clean and well stocked with toiletries. They had snacks on the counter and ice in the fridge and plenty of dinnerware and cooking pans. We highly recommend this home and host.Show more The photos and description on the listing were accurate. The view was lovely. I appreciated the heads up about the jets flying over, because they started early in the morning. Because of our young kids, we were already awake and actually enjoyed seeing the jets so close up, but I can see how this would not be ideal for someone looking for a peaceful/restful getaway.
There was a very harsh and unsettling smell in the home from the moment we walked in. I understand that the property is pet-friendly, so this could be why, but we ended up having to purchase Febreze and candles to manage. The living room couch and dining room bench are also covered in stains (also assuming from animals).
My kids enjoyed the bunk bed room, but it should be noted that there is no door on that room - it is just wide open all the time - which they didn't love when trying to change clothes.
