Description
The Legacy Inn is a modernized seven-suite inn nestled on 2½ acres of 60-year-old chestnut, maple, and poplar trees. Enjoy a morning stroll along the greenway, just a few minutes walk to the heart of Luray. We are less than a mile from the Luray Caverns and ten minutes from Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. Whether you are interested in hosting an event or just looking for a getaway with someone special, we would love you to come to experience the Legacy for yourself!
The space
Experience the allure of The Legacy Inn, featuring three charming suites on the first floor, each accommodating 2 guests. Please note that when booking these suites, the common areas will still be open and available to upstairs guests, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of our inn.
Bonnie & Clyde Suite:
Indulge your sense of adventure in our Bonnie & Clyde Suite, a ground floor haven that exudes character and playful charm. Located just off the shared living room and breakfast area, this suite is surrounded by windows, allowing abundant natural light to fill the space. At night, you can rest assured of a peaceful slumber on the comfortable queen-size Murphy bed, complemented by wall-to-wall blackout curtains for an uninterrupted rest.
Kennedy Suite:
Step into serenity as you enter The Kennedy Suite, where light walls, a white fireplace (not usable), and stunning views of the expansive lawn and the Greenway create a tranquil ambiance. This first floor suite features a queen bed and a private bathroom, offering both comfort and privacy during your stay.
Cash & Carter Suite:
Embrace the convenience of our Cash & Carter Suite, which provides direct access to our spacious front patio. With its own entrance and a delightful walk along the porch leading to the shared living space, this suite ensures a sense of exclusivity. Equipped with a queen bed and a private bathroom, it offers both comfort and convenience for your stay.
Please note that individual rooms, the second floor, and the option to rent the entire house are also available. Guest access
This is an adult-only inn. Guests will have full and private access to their suite. There are shared spaces around the property. Shared spaces include the lobby, coffee bar, common area living room, and all outdoor areas.
Other things to note
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking.
1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2)Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests:
If you are booking a flat for over 30 days, you will be provided with the standard tenant package as required under Virginia law, and be required to acknowledge receipt of the same.
The terms of our Agreement will remain as agreed to on the booking platform, and anything implied under Virginia state law.
Please note that the building has ring cameras monitoring and recording the exterior and common areas of the building at all times. There are absolutely no cameras on or in the interior of any unit.
For the comfort of our guests and team members, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted inside or within thirty (30) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke your card can be charged and your security deposit will be forfeited. Sojourn will contact the booking service, terminate your stay and post the appropriate review.
All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe, these devices can not record or decipher what you are saying they are only for monitoring noise. Noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation could be terminated without refund.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.
* Baby Wipes/Wet Wipes/Cleaning Pads

* Q-tips/Cotton Balls
* Diapers
* Pills
* Paper Towels/Tissues or excess toilet paper
Fireworks are illegal in Virginia. If you are found to be engaged in setting off fireworks we are required by the city to immediately terminate your stay. Also If you are found responsible for having started a wildfire or dune fire with fireworks, you may be liable for all suppression and reclamation costs or even face imprisonment and fines.
3) Pets are welcome on the first floor of this property in The Bonnie & Clyde Suite, The Kennedy Suite, and The Cash & Carter Suite, only. Pets are welcome for $50, per pet. Maximum 1 pet per room. Pets are strictly prohibited from the second and third floors.
4) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.
5) Due to the historic nature of our home, we have to maintain a house-wide temperature setting. The temperature in all rooms is set to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). The entire house has to be on a cool or heat setting.
6) The windows do not open throughout the household.
7) Due to our limited availability, reservations must be canceled 14 days prior to the arrival date in order to receive a refund.
8) All cancellations must be communicated to and acknowledged by The Legacy Inn.
9) Rooms requiring excessive cleaning or containing damage will be the responsibility of the guests and fees will be charged to the credit card on file. Fees will be charged at the discretion of The Legacy Inn.
