This is an older complex but is a wonderful place to enjoy the Chesapeake Bay.

Willoughby Spit is a great neighborhood to check out on foot or bike with water on both sides! Our side contains over 7 miles of uncrowded and awesome beaches with small waves right on the Chesapeake Bay.
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.

* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the non-refundable pet fee is $75 per pet, per week for short term stays. The one time, non-refundable pet fee for long term stays is $450. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) Fireworks are illegal in Norfolk, any use of fireworks is grounds for immediate termination of your stay with no refund.

7) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.View More

Clean and comfortable place in a quiet neighborhood with all the comforts of home, just 2 minutes’ walk to beach access and a quiet public beach. Location is great for kids- beach is sheltered from waves, water is shallow, and warmer than the open ocean. Easy hassle free check in and check out- clear proactive communication, excellent value for money.Show more This was a lovely weekend stay, with a quiet and relaxed beach following a path directly behind the Sojourn apartment units. The kitchen came equipped with pots and pans for cooking a few meals and a blender for the occasional margarita. The rental comes with both showering towels and beach towels, as well as a few beach chairs. It’s pet-friendly (with an additional fee) and the beach is open to pets during certain hours. There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a convenience store 3 blocks away. The neighborhood felt calm, safe and both the building door and unit door were secured with locks. Our group was 4 adults, which felt a little tight at times, especially since there is only one bathroom (and this is clearly stated on the listing), but for the long weekend worked out fine. Mildew can be a problem at any beach rental, but I did recommend to the host a dehumidifier in the future (one of the guests had mildew allergies).
